Brought in an old Seiko 5 that belonged to my father. It had not run properly in years and I was not sure it was worth attempting. The assessment was thorough — they found a worn jewel and explained exactly what replacing it would involve, including the cost. The watch now runs well. What I appreciated most was that they did not push me towards a more expensive restoration; they kept the scope to what made sense for the piece.

The crystal and case work on my dress watch came out very cleanly. I had been hesitant because the case has an unusual brushed finish that I did not want turned into a mirror. They understood this immediately, refinished only the scratched sections, and kept the original texture elsewhere. The service took about three weeks. Communication during the job was straightforward — one update when the crystal arrived and a call when it was ready.

I brought three watches from my late grandfather's collection for assessment. I had no idea which were worth restoring and which were beyond reasonable help. The written reports for each were clear and honest — one was worth restoring, one worth a basic service, and one was frankly not worth the cost. I was glad to hear that plainly rather than be sold work that did not make sense. The restoration of the good piece took four months but the result was worth it.

My daily automatic had been running around three minutes fast per day. After the essential service it runs within a few seconds across positions according to the timing sheet they provided. That documentation alone gave me confidence I had not experienced at other workshops. I will bring my other watches here in due course.

Good experience overall with the crystal replacement. The new sapphire fits perfectly and the case was cleaned without any of the aggressive polishing I had seen elsewhere strip the edges off a watch. The one thing I would say is that the turnaround was slightly longer than originally estimated — about a week over — but they did contact me in advance to let me know the crystal was on back-order. Honest communication covers a lot.

I had a vintage pocket watch from the 1950s that needed significant restoration. They produced a written plan before starting, sourced a correct replacement mainspring, treated light surface rust on the plates, and conserved the original dial finish. The watch runs and the dial looks as it should — aged, not artificially cleaned. This is exactly the kind of careful approach a piece like this deserves.

Case Studies

Selected Service Journeys

Case Study 01 — Inherited Longines Dress Watch

The Situation

A Longines manual-wind from the 1960s, inherited and not worn in over fifteen years. The owner wanted to wear it again but was uncertain whether this was realistic given its age and visible corrosion on the case.

What Was Done

Full movement service, corrosion stabilisation on the case exterior (not polished), replacement of the cracked crystal with a period-appropriate dome mineral, and regulation. Duration: nine weeks, extended by two to source the correct movement parts.

The Outcome

Watch returned to reliable daily wear, running within ±8 seconds per day. Original patina on the case preserved. The owner wears it regularly and has since brought a second family piece for assessment.

"I did not expect a sixty-year-old watch to come back in daily use. It has become the watch I wear most." — Wariya S., Chonburi

Case Study 02 — Sport Watch with Damaged Crystal

The Situation

A Seiko diver with a deeply cracked mineral crystal and a case that had been previously polished too aggressively, removing the original brushed finish from the lugs. The owner wanted the crystal replaced and the case marks addressed without further polishing.

What Was Done

Replacement with a correct aftermarket mineral crystal. Case cleaned and degreased; scratch treatment applied only to the polished bezel surround. No re-polishing of the brushed surfaces. Duration: two and a half weeks.

The Outcome

Clean crystal, no further material removed from the case. Owner satisfied that their specific concern about over-polishing was understood and respected throughout.

"They listened to exactly what I asked for and did precisely that, nothing more." — Natthapon P., Pattaya

Case Study 03 — Pocket Watch Collection Assessment

The Situation

Three pocket watches arrived together for assessment. The owner had no idea of their relative condition or value and wanted honest guidance before deciding whether to proceed with any service.

What Was Done

Individual written assessments for all three, with realistic cost and outcome estimates. One was recommended for full restoration, one for essential service only, and one was assessed as not economically viable to service given the extent of internal damage.

The Outcome

Owner proceeded with two services. The restored piece — a Swiss cylinder escapement from the early 1900s — returned to running order. The owner appreciated receiving a straightforward view on all three rather than a recommendation to service everything.

"Being told one of them was not worth restoring was exactly the honest answer I needed." — Wariya S., Chonburi
