A Considered Approach
to Every Service
Assessment First
Before work begins, each watch is assessed and a written condition report is produced. We explain what we find in plain terms and agree on the service scope together.
Work Within Agreed Scope
The service carries out only what has been discussed. If something unexpected is found, work pauses and we consult before continuing. No surprise additions to the bill.
Quality Checks and Handover
After service, timing results are recorded and reviewed. The watch is returned with a service record document and warranty information. We are available to discuss the results.
Service 01
Essential Watch Service

A foundational service for working watches, covering a thorough clean of the movement, fresh lubrication, and timing regulation so the piece runs comfortably again. A good first step for owners maintaining a watch worn regularly. We provide an honest condition note, explain anything that may need attention later without pressure, and offer a service warranty. Most watches are ready within a few weeks.
- Complete disassembly of the movement
- Ultrasonic and manual cleaning of all components
- Appropriate lubrication by component type
- Timing regulation and multi-position timing test

Typical Duration
Two to three weeks from agreed start date. Confirmed at assessment stage.
Best for: Watches in regular use that have not been serviced in some years, or pieces returning to wear after storage.

Service 02
Crystal & Case Service

A neat service combining the replacement of a worn or damaged crystal with gentle case refinishing. We fit a suitable crystal, lift everyday marks while preserving original lines, and protect the dial and movement throughout. A thoughtful choice for a watch that has served faithfully and simply needs a refresh. The chosen crystal, finish, and costs are confirmed beforehand; we refinish only as far as the owner wishes, keeping authentic character where valued.
- Crystal selection and fitting (mineral, sapphire, or acrylic as appropriate)
- Case brushing or polishing to agreed extent only
- Crown and pusher inspection
- Dial and movement protected throughout
- Pre-agreed costs confirmed before work starts
Typical Duration
Two to three weeks. Crystal availability may affect timing; confirmed at assessment.
Best for: Watches with damaged or heavily scratched crystals, and pieces whose cases have accumulated marks the owner wishes to address.

Service 03
Full Restoration for Collectible Watches

A thorough, sympathetic restoration for collectible and inherited watches, blending movement repair with conservation of original detail. The work can include sourcing period-correct parts, treating wear and corrosion, conserving dials, and returning the watch to reliable use while honouring its heritage. Recommended for pieces of personal or historical value. Each restoration begins with a careful assessment and a written plan agreed together, carried out unhurriedly to protect delicate components.

Varies considerably by scope and part availability. Outlined in the written plan at assessment stage. Never rushed.
Best for: Collectible, vintage, or inherited watches where originality matters and the owner wants the piece properly cared for rather than quickly turned around.

Standards We Apply to Every Job
Secure Handling
Watches are individually logged, stored in locked conditions, and handled only by assigned technicians. Nothing is left on an open workbench unattended.
Multi-Position Timing
Serviced movements are tested in multiple positions on a timing machine. Results are recorded and provided to the owner with the completed watch.
Appropriate Lubrication
Lubricant grades are selected by component function and movement age, not applied uniformly. Modern and vintage movements have different requirements that we observe.
Service Documentation
Every completed service produces a document recording what was done, parts used or sourced, timing results, and warranty terms. Owners keep this as a long-term record.
Owner Consultation on Discoveries
If anything unexpected is found during the work, we stop, document it, and consult the owner before deciding how to proceed. No changes to scope without agreement.
Service Warranty
All service work is covered by a written warranty on regulated functions. Full terms are issued at handover. We stand behind the work we carry out.
