Anong Dial
Anong Dial began in Rayong with a straightforward conviction: a watch that reaches a workshop deserves the full attention of someone who understands it. The name comes from Khun Anong, who trained under a watchmaker in Chiang Mai before returning to the Eastern Seaboard, where she spent years working quietly on pieces belonging to collectors, families, and everyday wearers who simply wanted their watch to run well again.
What started as a single bench has grown into a small, focused workshop. The team is deliberately kept small — not because of capacity constraints, but because the kind of work we do is not compatible with volume. A mechanical movement, opened and cleaned and regulated, takes the time it takes. A collectible watch with worn lacquer on the dial requires a different kind of patience again.
We are located on Sukhumvit Road in Mueang, Rayong, and welcome owners who want to see the workshop and talk through their watch before leaving it with us.
Our Approach
Every watch that arrives is assessed before a service is quoted. We write down what we find, share it with the owner in plain terms, and agree on the scope of work together. We do not proceed until that conversation has happened.
Where parts are needed, we take the time to source components that suit the watch — preferring period-correct or manufacturer-compatible options over quick substitutes. For collectible pieces this matters considerably; a replacement that alters the character of a watch is not a restoration.

Lead Watchmaker
Trained in Chiang Mai and experienced with mechanical, automatic, and vintage movements. Handles all assessments, restorations, and complex service work.
Panya Sirisuk
Case & Crystal Technician
Specialises in case refinishing and crystal fitting. Works with a wide range of case materials and crystal types, matching character rather than simply replacing.
Nanthipha Wongchai
Client Liaison
Manages enquiries, coordinates collection and return, and keeps owners informed throughout the service process. Speaks Thai and English.
How We Work
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Written Assessments
Every watch receives a written condition report before any work is agreed. The report stays with the owner as a record of the watch's state on arrival.
Pre-Agreed Scope
No work is carried out beyond what has been discussed and agreed. If unexpected findings arise during the job, we pause and consult before continuing.
Secure Storage
All watches in the workshop are logged and held in locked, temperature-managed conditions. Each piece is handled only by the assigned technician.
Regulated Timing Checks
After every service the movement is timed across multiple positions using a timing machine. Results are noted in the service record and shared with the owner.
Quality Lubricants
We use lubricants appropriate to each movement's design and age. Older calibres and modern movements have different requirements; we observe those differences.
Service Warranty
All completed service work is covered by a warranty on the regulated functions. Full warranty terms are provided with the service receipt on collection.

Watch repair and restoration in Thailand has a long tradition, and Rayong has its own community of people who care about mechanical objects — their history, their construction, and their continued function. Anong Dial sits within that tradition, serving owners who want a workshop that takes the time to understand a piece before working on it.
Mechanical watches are precise instruments that have, in most cases, already outlasted many of the people who have owned them. The component tolerances inside a movement from the 1960s or 1970s are finer than most modern machinery. Working on them well requires patience, the right tools, and an understanding of how the calibre was designed to behave — not just how to disassemble and reassemble it.
We are not the fastest option in the region, and we do not aim to be. What we offer is a clear process, transparent communication, and work carried out with the full attention each watch deserves. For owners who value that approach, we think Anong Dial is a sound choice.
