Terms & Conditions
The conditions under which we offer watch repair and restoration services at Anong Dial.
Last updated: 1 June 2025
These terms set out the basis on which Anong Dial accepts watches for service or restoration. We aim to be straightforward and fair. If anything here is unclear, please ask us before leaving your watch.
These terms apply to all services provided by Anong Dial, 63 Sukhumvit Road, Mueang, Rayong 21000, Thailand. By leaving a watch with us for assessment or service, you accept these terms.
1. Acceptance of Work
We carry out an initial assessment of every watch before agreeing to service it. We will explain what we find and propose a course of action. Work begins only once you have received and agreed to our written assessment and cost estimate. We do not start work without your approval.
If we discover additional issues during the course of the work — something not visible at the initial assessment — we will contact you to discuss the findings before proceeding. You are free to accept or decline any additional work proposed.
2. Estimates and Pricing
Prices quoted are estimates based on the information available at the time of assessment. Our standard service prices are:
- Essential Watch Service — ฿4,500
- Crystal and Case Service — ฿8,000
- Full Restoration for Collectible Watches — ฿15,000
Where additional parts or unexpected work are needed, we will provide a revised estimate for your approval before continuing. The final invoice will not exceed the most recently agreed figure without your prior consent.
3. Timescales
We offer indicative completion timescales at the time of assessment. These are given in good faith but are not contractual commitments. Some restoration and repair work requires time that is difficult to forecast with certainty, and we prefer to take the care a piece deserves over meeting an arbitrary date.
If a significant change to the expected timescale becomes apparent, we will let you know as soon as possible. We are always happy to provide updates on request.
4. Collection of Watches
We will notify you when your watch is ready for collection. We ask that watches are collected within 30 days of that notification. If a watch is not collected within 60 days of notification despite reasonable attempts to contact you, we reserve the right to charge a nominal storage fee, and we will discuss next steps with you directly.
Watches should be collected by the person who deposited them, or by a named representative with written authorisation. We may ask for identification.
5. Care and Liability
We take every reasonable care with the watches entrusted to us. They are held securely on our premises throughout the service period.
While we take great care in our work, watch repair and restoration carries inherent risks, particularly with older, fragile, or previously repaired pieces. We will discuss any specific concerns before beginning work. Our liability in the event of loss or damage is limited to the fair market value of the watch at the time it was deposited with us, and does not extend to sentimental or speculative value.
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or conditions that were not disclosed to us or not visible at the time of assessment.
6. Service Notes and Condition Reports
We provide a written condition note with each completed service. This describes the work carried out and notes anything we observed that may require attention in the future. These notes are offered as honest observations, not as recommendations for immediate action. You are under no obligation to return for further work.
7. Parts
Where possible, we source parts appropriate to the age and character of the watch. For restoration work, we discuss parts sourcing with you as part of the agreed plan. Parts fitted become part of the watch and are not separately returnable unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Old parts removed during a service are available for you to collect if you wish; please let us know at the time of assessment. If not requested, they may be disposed of after 30 days.
8. Payment
Payment is due on collection of the watch. We accept cash and bank transfer. We do not release watches until payment has been received in full. If you have concerns about an invoice, please raise them with us before the collection appointment so we have an opportunity to address them.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel a service at any time before work begins at no charge. If work has already started, we will invoice for the time and materials applied up to the point of cancellation and return the watch to you in its current state. We will always explain what has been done before issuing any partial invoice.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from our services will be addressed in good faith in the first instance. Where a resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you deposit a watch with us will apply to that service. Current terms are always available on this page.
